Empower Hour: How to Successfully Negotiate as a Woman
How do you get what you want at work? You’ve got to ask for it. The problem is, when women use those “tried and true” negotiating tactics, they’re not only less likely to get what they want, they can also experience blowback and even termination. Why? Because the rules were written for men by men.
Based on a decade of research, workplace interviews with women at all stages of their careers, as well as her own (devastating!) personal experience, Kathryn cuts through the bad advice and shares what really works.
Participants will learn how to:
- Eliminate roadblocks that keep women from the negotiation table
- Identify what you really want—including learning the 76 things you can negotiate besides salary
- Craft your“ask” using collaborative negotiation techniques
- Become a great negotiator, improving both outcomes and relationships
- Implement this research in a business setting
